Elwood Pass Work Day

Today, we took on cleaning up Elwood Pass, a Trail adopted by Creepers Jeepers Gang. Elwood Pass is the original pioneer route that predates Wolf Creek Pass, taking a more southern approach over the San Juan Mountains. We had a strong crew and four vehicles braving the morning rain. Fortunately, we found a window of clear weather to dig out water bars, cut trees and willows away from the trail, and take in the early colors. Although the moisture added some difficulty, we were prepared to help each other out.

Genuinely a diamond in the rough trail and happy to be a part of it!
