Taylor Mesa in Dolores

Friday, May 9, 2025:  Gary and I tried out our new jeep, a 2019 JLU.  We went up Taylor Mesa Road, north of Dolores off of Hwy 145.  There are several forest service roads going up the mesa but some were only accessible for a ways due to the snow. Along the Taylor Road there is a natural spring.  Back in the late 1960s, Gary’s dad and a buddy of his set up a pipe to retrieve the water.  The family has since then worked to improve the pipe system over the years and even named it “Harris Springs”.  Just a short trip in our new jeep but we certainly fell in love with everything about it right away.
